NOVUS SEALING offers a full range of Safety Shields to prevent hazardous spray outs from flanges, valves, expansion joints and other related pressure boundary equipment.

Novus Safety Spray Shields prevents injury to plant personnel, damage to plant equipment and the environment. Their purpose is to prevent contamination and injury by containing hazardous chemicals and corrosive leaks, to deflect sprays by providing a barrier between the chemical fluid flowing through a piping system and the external environment. If a leak occurs, the escaping fluid is controlled within the safety spray shield allowing the leaking chemical to harmlessly drip to the ground or to a controlled secondary collection system, if supplied with a nipple or drain pipe.

Novus Safety Spray Shields must be used whenever an aggressive chemical, dangerous fluid, or high pressure applications is present in the following areas:

• Chemical Systems – Hazardous & Corrosive
• High Temperature Fluids
• Petrochemical Plants – Flammable Fuel or Oil
• Power Plants – Steam and Water

Novus Safety Shields are designed to indicate, contain and temporarily deflect escaping fluid. In order to provide protection in different applications safety shields are manufactured from special materials that are unaffected by chemicals and can withstand various temperatures and pressures.
